If I understand the Draco correctly (and Its only from seeing tech specs)
the RISC option is for an optional co-processor.. meaning to me that
either AmigaOS has to support it (Najaho doesnt have the source code to
AmigaOS) or programs have to support it directly, will Lightwave? I head
4.0 is the last amiga version of Lightwave, will it make sense then when
you ar outdated to wish it supported this new MIPS-4700 you installed in
the co-processor slot?

Its stated that the DraCo is 80% compatible with current amiga
software.. hey If I had to guess, Id say this means it wont run games,
which would be no major loss at all! But why chance it? CISC is dead go
RISC!

This is true, Emplant is nice, but its still gonna be a tad slower than
the real-deal.. and in our business (namely lightwave) speed rules, plan
and simple.. think of the P90, or Alpha-275mhz, or any of them really as
just another GVP-040-50mhz, or some such.. cost is just about the same,
but you're getting a whole new computer for your money.

What? The amiga is a real computer.. I just saw Windows-95, can you say
"Amiga-Clone" I can;t believe it took microsoft soooo long to make an
operating system that is sooooo advanced that it looks and feels just
like AmigaOS.. its true, check it out, Windows 3.11 was/is garbage
Windows-95 runs, looks, feels and plays just like AmigaOS (With a few
extra goodies thrown in for fun)
DraCo looks good on paper, but the company making it is small-time.. I
really only see it as a niche Non-Liner Editor.. of which it may give
the flyer a run for its money on the low-end.
Ive got aa complete A4000/040 Toaster/PAR set up, it works now, and as
long as my chips don't fry it will always do what it's doing right now..
I'm selling 2 or 3 extra logo's this month to buy a nice MIPS or ALPHA
based system, which I will run Lighwtave 4.0 (and later) on, and dump my
frames to the PAR on the amiga.. Ill also use the Toaster for mundane
daily video work, which brings in the paycheck... untill Play Inc.
brings out this new video device they keep bragging about, there is
nothing close to the toaster for PC's (still)
